Jeffery B. Hendrickson, President and CEO
Mr. Hendrickson founded Legacy HealthCare in 1997 with the goal to create a healthcare company that achieved new standards in an industry that has too often been stereotyped as institutional. The mission is simple: “Committed to 100+1 Service” Mr. Hendrickson applies this mission daily in coordination with the company values to lead the company and inspire excellent healthcare.
Mr. Hendrickson currently serves as a Board Member for the Riverside County Workforce Development Board. He was appointed to the board by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors in 2004. He is a member of the California Association of Health Facilities and the American Health Care Association and has served as a delegate and as a presenter in their respective annual meetings.
Mr. Hendrickson graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 with a bachelor of science degree in psychology and physical therapy. He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Scotland where he developed his leadership skills and learned the value of hard work and discipline. He is an Eagle Scout. He currently resides in San Clemente, California with his wife and three children.
Nick Sherg, CFO
Mr. Sherg has worked at Legacy Healthcare since 2004 and has been in the healthcare industry for over ten years. He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration and has worked in both the profit and non-profit healthcare sectors. He is married with three children and enjoys spending time with his family, especially at amusement parks and in traveling. In his free time, he works to support social justice issues (especially for the poor and marginalized) and enjoys dining, the theater and the arts. He is a life-time member of the National Eagle Scout Association and Delta Sigma Phi (Beta Gamma) fraternity and is an aspirant for the Diaconate in the Diocese of Orange. He strongly believes in promoting the dignity and care of human life, especially in terms of healthcare.
Mary Gerlock, RN, BSN
Mrs. Gerlock has been a Registered Nurse for 37 years, including 20 in Long Term Care as a Director of Nursing, Clinical Director and Nurse Consultant. She has worked for Legacy Healthcare for 11 years and incorporates and appreciates the company’s Mission Statement and Company Values. She spent 17 years working in the Psychiatric/Mental Health field, in addition to working in Brain Injury Rehabilitation for some time. She has been a Case Manager for Insurance Companies developing life care plans and managing workers compensation and liability care cases. She has certifications in Psychiatry, Case Management, Rehabilitation and most recently became a certified wound care specialist. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration. She has worked all over the country including Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina, Arizona, Nevada and Utah but feels most at home in Southern California. She enjoys helping to develop new graduate nurses into nursing leaders for the next generations and embraces culture change as the future for long term care.
